NDIS funding
NDIS funding helps people with disabilities access the transport support they need, making it easier for them to attend appointments, go to work or school, or enjoy social activities. The level of transport support you can get through NDIS depends on your specific needs and situation, as well as your NDIS funding plan.
The NDIS transport support is available for people who have trouble using public transport because of their disability. If you need help getting around, the NDIS might provide funding to cover transport costs, but the amount of funding depends on what your plan allows.
There are three levels of transport support available under the NDIS, and each level provides a different amount of funding to meet your needs:
– Level 1: This level is for participants who are not working, studying, or attending day programs but want to improve their community access. You could receive around $1,784 per year for transport support.
– Level 2: This level is for participants who are working or studying part-time (up to 15 hours a week) or are attending day programs. You may be eligible for around $2,676 per year for transport support.
– Level 3: This level is for participants who are working, studying, or looking for work for at least 15 hours a week and cannot use public transport because of their disability. You may receive about $3,456 per year for transport assistance.
In some cases, participants may get more funding if they are involved in employment programs or need extra support to attend work or study. These amounts are only guidelines, and each person’s transport funding may differ based on their individual needs and goals.
If you’re not sure what level of funding you’re eligible for, it’s best to speak to your NDIS planner or support coordinator. They can help you understand how much funding you might receive and how to use it to meet your transport needs.
